So, I won a writing contest at my uni, and the awards ceremony is soon.
I bought a nice dress for it, have some nice shoes, but, I have no idea what to do with my hair! I have waist-length, jet black, wavy hair, that I rarely style, because I like that "long and free and kinda messy" look. But this event is very, very important to me, and I wanna look special.
I want to do something with my hair. Not a huge fancy updo, but make it look different somehow. So I'm thinking, maybe a headband or a barrette or something. I'm liking the feather headbands and the silk flower ones too.

I've seen Chinese actresses like Zhang Ziyi and Liu Yi Fei in evening dresses with their hair brushed back with either a long ponytail or single braid. That looked elegant. The feather or silk flower headbands or barrette sounds good too.

This is one of those very rare times in which I spend more time looking for a fashion accessory than I ever have before. Ye gods, the internet is packed! I'm thinking, with the dress being white, that a white headband/item would do the trick. Here are my suggestions:

Low bun at the nape if the neck or a side ponytail again at the nape of the neck. You want people to see the detail on the back it is beautiful

Hmm. About your hair. I think it will look best if you just let your hair down. For the ethereal look. Or, to make it a bit more elegant, how about pinning your hair up in a half ponytail, with a silver star barrette or something.
